Project Scope

The highlight is on the Jinya Ramen project in Culver City. This project involved millwork and upholstery for the ramen restaurant. As a new construction, it spanned 6 months, accommodating construction delays and submittal reviews. The primary elements of this project included:

a) Architectural millwork in geometric shapes applied to the soffit above the bar, creating a striking wave pattern

b) Booth seating

d) Service cabinets

e) Metal bar shelving with integrated LED lighting

f) Installation of client-provided furniture

g) A metal communal table structure using metal I-beams and custom stools secured to the floor

Challenges faced:

– Working with Doug fir material, a soft wood, to achieve the desired color tone

– Ensuring the key plans were followed precisely in the final dimensions of the architectural millwork on the bar soffit

– Executing a curved banquette with a crowned seat using uni-directional pattern vinyl required meticulous planning

During the installation phase of the Jinya Ramen project, our team faced the complexity of coordinating multiple elements to harmoniously blend functionality and aesthetic. Despite the challenges, there was an undercurrent of excitement and determination.
